I'm Lili, an orchestra director with a passion for making music education a blast for my students. With 15 years under my belt, I've danced through the world of 5th to 8th-grade teaching. My days are a symphony of 5th-grade strings, middle school string orchestras, and a rock band that kicks it up with electric strings, guitars, and keyboards for 7th and 8th graders. I'm all about mixing it up, diving into every style and genre of music, and even throwing in some music composition and production into the mix. One thing I've learned on this musical journey is that if I'm not having fun, how can I expect the kids to have fun? It's all about fostering an environment where learning feels like an adventure, not a chore. My teaching has taken me through Title 1 and non-Title schools, from small campuses to large ones. Each experience has shaped and reshaped my approach, making me a more dynamic and adaptable educator. After all, music is a universal language, and my goal is to make sure every student feels the rhythm and joy of creating it.
